Links, tracking and getting paid
Read this before you publish anything — it decides whether a sale can be credited to you at all.
Plain-English version. If anything here doesn’t match your records, tell us — we fix rails, not blame partners.
- Use the exact links we hand you in onboarding. Today those are direct checkout links that carry your code, so every sale through them records against your name. Don’t build your own deep links — some of our surfaces can’t yet credit a partner click, and the links we give you are the ones that can. When in doubt, ask for the link rather than building one.
- If you have a code: it’s typed at the web checkout — or auto-applied when someone clicks your link. Tell your audience explicitly: “type CODE at checkout, or just use my link.”
- 🔴 App-store purchases do not pay commission. If someone downloads the iOS/Android app and subscribes inside the app store, we cannot see or credit your referral. Steer buyers to the web checkout, and feel free to say why: “use my link on the website — the app stores don’t credit referrals.”
- Commission is paid on paid subscriptions, not trial starts — after the refund window has passed (this kit). This protects you from clawbacks as much as it protects us.
- Monthly reconciliation. You’ll get a statement of credited sales, reconciled from the payment records — not a dashboard estimate. If you believe a sale is missing, send us the date and any details — under-crediting is our bug to fix, and we’d rather over-communicate than lose your trust.
- The confirmation loop (the rules) is how you know you’ll be paid. When your placement goes live, we check your link is crediting on our side and confirm back. Never skip it.
THE ATTRIBUTION FACTS
- Attribution window: 180 days from click. A buyer who clicks today and purchases through our nurture emails in week nine is still yours.
- The approved links ARE the exact links — the
?ref=YOURCODEtemplates on Ways to promote are the full set. Do not construct other deep links. - One code per partner today. Per-placement sub-tracking is not yet supported — judge individual placements with your own analytics until it is, and ask us if splitting placements matters to your setup.
- 🔴 App-store purchases cannot be credited today. If a store-side track ever goes live we will announce it — until that announcement, assume the web is the only paid route.
