About TMA & the partner playbook

The Movement Athlete · Partner Marketing Playbook

Everything we know about selling The Movement Athlete. Now it's yours.

The three buyers who actually pay. The story that converts. The ads and the emails that carried the first $1M, the assets to build with, and the claims that keep you safe. Adapt it to your voice — the best partner content has always been personal, never copy-pasted.

Channel plays

What works where — email, a review page, YouTube, social, and the quiz.

Your email list highest-converting channel for most partners

Run the 7-email sequence at your own cadence — one to two emails a week reads as genuine; dumping five in five days reads as a campaign. The case-study and FAQ emails carry the load — don’t skip them to get to the ask faster.

A dedicated review or comparison page

The most durable value — it earns while you sleep and compounds with rank. Keep it current (this kit’s staleness warning), answer the five objections, and embed your link at the natural decision moments: after the mechanism explanation and after the FAQ — not only at the top.

YouTube review

A video review converted for years for one of our partners and kept performing long after publishing. What made it work: hands-on time with the actual app, honest structure (including what TMA isn’t), the link and code in the description AND pinned comment, and refreshing the pinned comment when facts change.

Mark the video as containing a paid promotion where the platform provides the flag — that’s a platform requirement, not optional.

Social

Short-form works as a feeder, not a closer: skill-progress content (“month 1 vs month 3”), the assessment experience, a day-in-the-life with 15-minute workouts. Send viewers to your review page or your email list rather than straight to checkout — warm converts, cold doesn’t.

The quiz — your highest-intent destination

The quiz is the front door, and it is the link to use for cold traffic. Someone answers a few questions about their body, their history and their goals, and comes out with a personalised starting point on every movement. It asks for a small yes and it does the selling for you.

Your link: https://quiz.themovementathlete.com/?ref=YOURCODE
Always the root, exactly as above. Never a versioned path such as /2026-quiz-checkout-v1/ — the root always routes to the current live page, so your link keeps working; a versioned one goes stale the moment we ship a new version.

How to pitch it: "see exactly where you'd start" — not "get your results in minutes". The quiz gives an honest starting position; the real measured assessment happens in the app after they join. Promise the first, let the app deliver the second.

Where it works: any cold placement — a review page, a YouTube description, a social caption, the first email in a sequence. For warm audiences who already trust you, the trial link converts harder.

Channel strategies

Use these before you pick a creative from the swipe file below.

Lever 1

UGC / real-person demo

When: Cold social — they do not know the brand yet.

Do: Show a real progression clip, then your ?ref= link in caption or bio.

Lever 1

Injury / smart progression hook

When: Fitness audiences burned by random programs.

Do: Lead with safety and structure; send cold traffic to the quiz root (https://quiz.themovementathlete.com/?ref=YOURCODE) or warm traffic to /start-training/?ref=YOURCODE.

Lever 2

Price-blocked audience

When: Comments say “too expensive”.

Do: Use Lever 2 (50% page) or Lever 3 code — pick one, do not stack trial copy.

Lever 2

Promo / urgency window

When: Seasonal push or your own launch week.

Do: Honest deadline only (DMCCA). Pair urgency creative with Lever 2.

Lever 1

Email / newsletter

When: Warm list that trusts you.

Do: Story → proof → one clear CTA. See affiliate email assets on docs estate.

Lever 1

Success stories first

When: Skeptical but interested readers.

Do: https://themovementathlete.com/success-stories/?ref=YOURCODE then trial path.
