About TMA & the partner playbook

The Movement Athlete · Partner Marketing Playbook

Everything we know about selling The Movement Athlete. Now it's yours.

The three buyers who actually pay. The story that converts. The ads and the emails that carried the first $1M, the assets to build with, and the claims that keep you safe. Adapt it to your voice — the best partner content has always been personal, never copy-pasted.

What not to say

Short version: make real claims, use real deadlines, and say you earn a commission.

These aren’t ours — they’re US (FTC) and UK (CMA/ASA) consumer law, and every one has bitten a fitness brand before. We check our own copy against them, and we ask the same of yours. These rules are why partner content about TMA never needs quiet deleting a year later.

  1. Disclose the relationship, clearly, near the top. “I’m a TMA partner — I earn a commission if you join through my link” or #ad. On every placement: email, page, video description, social post. It doesn’t dent conversion, and it keeps both of us clean.
  2. No income or earnings claims — about anyone. Not what you earn as a partner, not projections, not “I made $X”. (We don’t publish earnings either — if you’re asked, share the commission terms, not totals.)
  3. No medical claims. TMA members train around setbacks and build strength — we never say “heals”, “cures”, “fixes injuries” or promise pain outcomes. If your own story includes recovery, tell it as your experience, not a promise.
  4. Deadlines only when we confirm one in writing. No countdown tricks. If we have given you a dated window, use that date exactly; when it passes, the offer language comes down.
  5. Keep urgency and health outcomes in separate pieces of content. A deadline next to body-transformation messaging is exactly what UK regulators have ruled against — even when both halves are true.
  6. Testimonials are verbatim and real (the rules). Never present a designed graphic as a screenshot.
  7. Numbers only from the verified list. The proof points in this kit and the rules are yours to use verbatim. No success-rate percentages, no member counts or ratings from memory.
  8. Guarantee wording: “60-day money-back guarantee” — nothing stronger (“no questions asked”, “risk-free forever”) and nothing about refund speed.

✓ If a piece of your content fails one of these

We’ll tell you which rule and hand you a compliant alternative that converts as well — that’s our job, not yours.

Rules (non-negotiable)

Programme lock as of Sep 2026. Full offer page for prospects: the invite link we send you. Contact: [email protected].

Economics

  • Commission is 30% of the first paid charge only — amount actually charged. Not renewals. Not the free-trial window.
  • Same public rate for every new partner unless we put a different deal in writing. No public 35% / 40% / 50% tiers.
  • Usual buyers often pay nearer ~$97, not full list $157. Do not lead with ~$47 as the standard cheque.
  • The $78.50 / 50% page is for deal / coupon channels only — link to the page, no 50% coupon code.
  • App store: 30% of store net only when we confirm that track is live. No dated app payout promises until then.

Cookie, hold, payout, refunds

  • Cookie: 180 days from click. If they buy in that window, you get credit.
  • Hold: 30 days from the first paid charge, then the commission is payable.
  • Payout: monthly on the 1st once your approved balance is at least $100.
  • Refunds: if they refund inside the customer’s 60-day money-back guarantee, that commission comes off — including from the next payout if we already paid you. Refund proof available.

Tracking and levers

  • Web ?ref= / your our tracking platform link is the primary rail. Partner codes (Lever 3) do not replace it.
  • Three levers, your choice: (1) full-price trial link, (2) 50%-off page link, (3) 30%-off first-charge code when issued.
  • Never put free-trial wording next to the 50% off page (Lever 2).
  • The quiz root is the default cold destination — https://quiz.themovementathlete.com/?ref=YOURCODE. Partner ?ref= credit through the quiz is confirmed. 🔴 Always link the root; never a versioned path such as /2026-quiz-checkout-v1/, which goes stale when we ship a new version.

Disclosure and claims

  • Disclose that you earn a commission before the link, every time (FTC / advertising rules).
  • Tell our origin as the company’s story. Do not promise a live coach interview, “Jesse,” or a named-person AMA. Ask us first.
  • Do not invent medical outcomes. Use only approved claims and assets we provide.
  • Do not lead with projected totals (“make $X from 100 sales”). Show % + honest range per lever; your audience math is yours.
  • Use a deadline only when we have given you one in writing. No countdown tricks.

Traffic quality

  • No brand bidding on “The Movement Athlete” or confusingly similar terms without written approval.
  • Do not upload partner codes to public coupon or deal aggregators.
  • No incentive traffic, malware, misleading redirects, or fake reviews.
  • We may withhold or reverse commission on fraudulent or policy-breaking traffic.

Creatives in this library

  • Rewrite every swipe-file headline in your voice; visuals are inspiration, not mandatory copy-paste.
  • Ad copy below is what we ran on Meta historically — adapt it. Historical creatives may mention lifetime access or old promo %OFF. Sell today’s Offer levers only (trial / 30% code / 50% page).
  • Attach your own ?ref= link. Do not use someone else’s slug.

Relationship

  • Applying does not guarantee approval. Either party may end the relationship.
  • Custom rates, if any, are written separately and do not rewrite these rules for everyone else.
  • Legacy partners on older deals stay as written for them — new partners follow this lock.
